I wanted to be a part of a group that values community, and awareness of what creates and holds it back. I also wanted to experience singing in community and expressing collectively through the language of music, which in my experience speaks to the heart and soul.
For me, it is not just about maintaining hope, but actually transmuting our individual and collective struggles into awareness, acceptance, and loving. In that, we move into positive change. In a group like Tonality, we come together as one voice, which amplifies our individual impact, strengthening us, our message, and those we serve.
I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the other singers in Tonality, and singing in a choir again. I've missed singing with others!
