I joined Tonality to perform music with a group of singers that represents the diversity of the music community of Los Angeles, and performs music with a clearly defined social justice message.
I think Tonality is important because diverse voices often do not get a platform, especially in classical music spaces. A group of diverse singers performing music from a diverse set of composers and arrangers is a big step forward.
I remember hearing Kim sing an incredible rendition of Earth Song, which I had the honor of arranging for the group. She brought the message of that song to life and it was an honor to be a small part of that.
